Open a Bank Account

We have a range of current and saving account options, including specialised accounts designed for high-net worth individuals, ladies, students and working professionals. Opening a bank account in the UAE is a straightforward, easy process.

For a standard current account, you will need to bring:

  • Proof of residency, such as an Employment Visa, Work Permit or Emirates ID card as well as your passport
  • OR
  • A salary certificate or salary transfer letter
  • OR
  • Proof of income if you are self employed
  • OR

Paying Rent

  • Paying for your rent is often an annual payment, but you will sometimes receive a smaller rental charge for paying in one cheque
  • OR
  • Landlords and property agents normally only take cheques; monthly direct debits for rent are virtually unheard of in the UAE, as are monthly cash payments
  • OR
  • Some property agents and landlords will take four or more cheques; but you must hand over all the cheques at once when signing the annual rental agreement
