If you would like your account to remain active, simply deposit money to your account to maintain a positive balance.
If the total balance of your account continues to remain zero or negative after 60 days from our communication, the Bank will close your account, including any linked debit card(s) and cheque book(s), without any further notice.
Please be aware of any outstanding cheques that would be affected by the closure. Please make other arrangements for any recurring payments, as all standing orders will be canceled prior to the account being closed.

Can I re-open my account at a later stage?
You may apply to open a new account through the FAB Mobile app, Online banking, phone banking or at a FAB branch, with the required documents. Any new account opening request will be subject to FAB’s polices at that time.
Can I continue using my cheque book and debit card post the closure of my account?
Debit card(s) and cheque book(s) linked to this account will be cancelled and are no longer valid after the account closure.

What happens to the existing balance in my account when the account is closed? Will I be contacted if the balance is negative?
Your account will be closed if the balance is zero or negative. You will not be contacted for any negative balance other than the communication already received from FAB.
